Some of the simplest wedding photographs make the most captivating ones. These are photos that reflect the utter happiness of the couple rather than detailing all of the participants. Some photographs are so beautiful and show the couple’s love to each other so well as to create deep emotions when viewed.
The making of extraordinary wedding photography is of course all dependent on the photographer who will “catch” the bride barefoot going down the steps of the church because her feet hurt so much following the wedding. Some particularly creative wedding photographs just present themselves.
Photos where the groom is standing behind the bride with his arms wrapped against the bride’s waist are fantastic, but imagine how much more stirring that shot would be if she were leaning back against his shoulder and looking lovingly into his eyes? Kissing brides and grooms is typical of a wedding shot, but having the bride put her arms around his neck will create two beautiful emotions. First the look of love from the bride as she is “almost” kissed, but secondly it will be a picture that the photographer will pose so that her left hand, wearing the new wedding ring will be captured against the dark morning suit that the groom is wearing.
Creativity is also important following the wedding, and can be so simple yet stirring. For instance a shot of the couple kissing on the church steps can be made more stirring if they are kissing under the bride’s veil! That shot will emphasize the utter privacy that the couple feels under that veil, yet the veil is transparent enough to allow us to witness their embrace.
I have seen some shots that were so reflective that I truly wondered what the emotion was in the participants, and that’s important too. Shots of the bride looking down pensively into her wedding bouquet with eyes lowered with a bemused smile on her face are tremendously interesting.
After the wedding the joy of both can be captured when she leans back joyfully as far as she can while her new husband holds her in careful attendance. It shows the trust that the bride has put in her husband, and if they are looking at each other with love in their hearts the shot will capture all of those emotions and more. While they are holding the pose, the photographer can also zoom in a bit to capture the way that their hands are posed, with the bride to the photographer’s right, the photo will also show the rings on her left hand. If the photographer is working with a digital camera and can put many sequence shots together, the zoom perspective can be used on the computer so that the computer is zooming into those hands! Utterly creative!
A bride who is bare shouldered will be glad to pose in front of her husband while he kisses her shoulder gently. Again, this shot will be filled with emotion as she smiles widely and looks off into the distance with a pensive look upon her face. Emotive posing is key to creative wedding photography.

Great talent Der Mann.
Bride looking in a mirror putting on her veil. (side view).
Crossed hand over the marriage certificate (comes in handy when there is some question of when you were married, you can look at the photo innocently, rather than asking someone else).
bridesmaid one knee bent, "Punching" out her flowers at the photographer like a cheerleader. Individually shot, not as a group.
groom lifting the bride from the waist during a dance. Dangerous if groom is not fit.
Brilliant Willy, Just Brilliant =D
find a name with the first few letters in the alphabet ike A, B, C, D, etc… because when people search for wedding photographers its usually in alphabetical order so you with be at the top of the list
it's not a bad plan.. you'll find that it cover most of the basic areas very well if they stick to what they described. The B/W section seems to cover general photography more than B/W by the description.
Good luck

You’re really good man. You’ve got excellent talent.
sounds like the first one is gonna be focused on building a portfolio for yourself, and the second one will be more focused on the actual techniques of photography
Very nice!!

You can do the disposable cameras, but you can't be sure that you will get great pictures. Some people do, some don't. Ours were fine from the disposables, but then when I saw them compared to the photog's pics, they were nothing.
I looked at it this way – there are few things that you will have from your wedding that you will be able to hold on to. Memories will fade – in order to keep them fresh, you want to have a good photographer. Those pictures will last you for the rest of your life and then be passed onto your children as well. Skimping on them may inhibit a lifetime of memories. You won't remember if you got the more expensive linens. You won't remember if you had 4 candles or 5 in your centerpieces. But you *will* always want to remember that first kiss, your Uncle Ted dancing the night away, the toast from your Best Man, what your dress looked like, what your wedding cake looked like, etc. And a professional photographer can best capture that for you.
Be creative, have fun, but don't skimp on something that will be the most long lasting memory of your wedding.
Bridget,
There are plenty of sources for this… in your search bar type in "wedding photography" and look at either images or go to the sites on the web. Then check out that sites galleries.
Also depends on what your level of creativity is and how well you can copy their style. Please make backup copies of your pics before you start editing.
Nice work, you did pretty good.
Incredible! He looks so life like. Just amazing…and what a beautiful subject
I would say pick the one you think you could have the most success with and start with that. If you find that you could handle more maybe add another service to your business. It seems to me that 3 services would be too much for 1 person to handle. especially doing cakes, that is very time consuming. maybe if you hooked up w/ someone w/ a baking business you could make extra money charging finders fees. good luck w/ your new venture!
the one that hits you as your favorite for one of the 3
2nd one should be the best one of the bride and groom
3rd one should be their family!
