It depends on what the handmade ones looked like but if they were about the same price I would probably go with handmade.

I just check your portfolio… your pictures have terrible quality… You have some nice ideas for wedding photos, pictures are not bad, I would say much better than most of the wedding "photographers" (read money makers) I know… but you MUST start thinking about better equipment… pentax is not a equipment for you.. you need better camera, and better lenses… camera for start: even one of the cheaper canon brand Rebel XTI or XTS but lenses only Top Shelf Lseries… I know its not cheap but wedding photographer making good money so let call this investment than you`ll have better quality pictures, and start shoot in RAW and than process them to JPG….

Maybe.

If all of your lenses are AF-S then perhaps you would be able to get away with it.

A better choice might be a D80 or D90. (It's best to avoid toy cameras in professional situations.)

It depends on what exactly you want and the level of professionalism you want. It also depends on your location. If you were wanting just some formal poses of you and the wedding party on a cd for you to print on your own, and it took approximately an hour, I'd charge $100. I also put them online with a password so everyone can see the images at no extra charge. If you wanted prints, I charge $20 per 8×10 size sheet. Which means you could get 1 8×10 or 2 5×7's or 4 3×5's or 9 wallets on a sheet. If you wanted an album, I would charge anywhere from $200 on up for a hardcover book type or higher for leather bound albums. If you wanted a dvd to play on a dvd player of the images I'd charge $150 . I am in Denver, co and I am just restarting my wedding photography business so my prices are a bit lower than those with more experience, but since I earned a degree in photography I charge more than the cheapest photographers. Oh ya and I travel if expenses are paid.
When hiring a photographer I should add that it is important to like their vision. The reason to hire a professional is that he/she sees the world differently than someone with a fancy digital camera and a photo editing program. Believe me if all it took was a camera and a computer everyone would do it. And yes I admit everyone tries, but if you compare their pictures with a professionals of the same subject you will be amazed at what a professional does compared to the amatuer.
